How It Works
How It Works
-
Pet owners must reside in midcoast Maine (Lincoln, Knox or Waldo county) and have a Scout's Fund Network Member as their primary pet care provider.
-
Funding goes directly to the participating veterinarian providing the care and treatment.
-
Pet owners must share in the cost of medical services at some level.
-
Participating veterinarian must complete an assistance application to be reviewed by Scout's Fund veterinary advisory committee.
-
The application review process may take several weeks.
-
Pet owners must pledge to follow the recommendations of the veterinarian for continued and future care of their dog.
-
Please note that financial assistance is not currently available for emergency care.
If you believe you'd be a good candidate for assistance from Scout's Fund, please contact your veterinarian.
